World’s Lowest BASE Jump?

I got a call from Jools. “Mate, what ya doin’ this weekend? Meet ya in Belgium. Got Somethin’ real special lined up”. So I jumped in the car and 20 hours later…..there I was……..
Château Miranda (English: Miranda Castle), also known as Château de Noisy (English: Noisy Castle) was a 19th-century neo-Gothic castle in Celles, province of Namur, Belgium, in the region of the Ardennes. As of October 2017, the chateau has been completely demolished.

The Château was built in 1866 by the English architect Edward Milner under commission from the Liedekerke-De Beaufort family, who had left their previous home, Vêves Castle, during the French Revolution. However, Milner died before the Château was finished. Construction was completed in 1907 after the clock tower was erected.

Their descendants remained in occupation until World War II. A portion of the Battle of the Bulge took place on the property, and it was during that time that the Château was occupied by German forces.

In 1950, Château Miranda was renamed “Château de Noisy” when it was taken over by the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB) as an orphanage and also a holiday camp for sickly children. It lasted as a children’s camp until the late 1970s.

The Château has stood empty and completely abandoned since 1991 because the costs to maintain it were too great, and a search for investors in the property failed. Although the municipality of Celles has offered to take it over, the family has refused, and the enormous building is now (as of 2015) in a derelict state, succumbing to decay and vandalism. Parts of the structure were heavily damaged in a fire and many areas of the ceiling are collapsing. Despite this, it has become a favorite venue of urban explorers.

Is this world’s first BASE jump from a Mosque?

YouTube player

A recent trip to Istanbul afforded me some good food, a wedding from one of my best friends, some great sight seeing……. and another record jump. I have not found a video, nor heard of anyone jumping from a mosque before. This was not meant to be any kind of disrespect for anyone or anything, on the contrary…… see how beautiful a Mosque can be from all angles! Enjoy

Zakynthos, Greece

After a chance encounter with www.dreamjump.pl in Poland in winter 2014, I was lucky enough to be invited to jump with the crew in Zakynthos, Greece ……one of the world’s most amazing locations for BASE jumping. This video is the result of months of hard work from www.dreamwalker80.com and Cam-L Studio. Special thanks for the great support and cooperation from Zakhyntos Island authorities, the people of Laganas and: VW Samochody Użytkowe, HYTERA, DIGITAL 24, XENTIA, FASTMEDIA, HIGHJUMP, Dito Gear, Maciej Tomków Cinematography, OSTRO, Ecokopter, Multimotionstudio, Adam Rotnicki “Octagon”

The realisation on the long-time dream of visiting Mongolia provided me with ample opportunity to experience traditional food in a family Ger, and multiple first jumps and the introduction of the sport to the world’s most sparsely populated country…..along with another world record jump. Thanks to everyone in Mongolia for the great times  and wonderful support!

The world’s tallest Jesus Statue! First BASE jump

YouTube player

Recently I was able to travel back to Bolivia to live out my dream of jumping the world’s tallest Jesus! I first saw the statue in 2012 when I was on a year long motorcycle tour around South America.

Another Jesus Statue in Poland was built in 2010 on top of a mound and wearing a crown making it “technically” world’s tallest, however if you only count the Jesus part of the Statue, Bolivia is bigger by 1.2 Metres. You see most Jesus statues are built at a height of 33 metres because that was the age he was when he died. For whatever reason Cristo de la Concordia has 34.20 making it the tallest.
